Just wanted to add an update to the insect collection assignment. I've changed my mind about how many I want you to have. Instead of 25 insects from 10 differents orders, I only want 10 insects from 10 different orders.
This should take a little of the stress of of you. And as an extra piece of help, below is a list of some of the common insects you could get to satisfy all ten orders. But it is always more fun to find insects that you don't know, so get out there!
- Cockroaches
- Praying Mantis
- Ants/Bees/Wasps/Hornets
- Earwigs
- Grasshoppers/Crickets
- Butterflies/Moths
- Spiders
- Rolly Pollies
- Cicadas
- Silverfish
- Millipedes/Centipedes
- Dragonflies/Damselflies
- Flies (Housefly, Horsefly, etc.)
- Walking Sticks
- Beetles (June Bugs, Lady Bugs, etc.)
- Mosquitoes
Just remember, the larger the insect, the easier it will be to pin. Good luck!
